Music Collective Scotland 
Terms and Conditions

Please note that each Music Collective Scotland studio follows the term dates of its local authority. Music Collective Online pupils follow the term dates of the studio where their teacher is based.

 

Individual Lessons

1.Trial Lessons

Paid trial lessons are available before regular enrolment. Trial lessons are charged at the standard lesson rate unless otherwise stated as part of a promotional offer.

2.Fees & Payments

Individual lessons are delivered over 40 teaching weeks each academic year. Fees are spread across 11 equal monthly Direct Debit payments (August to June) and collected securely via GoCardless.

3.Term Dates

Lessons take place during our published term dates, available on our website. Lessons continue during public holidays, local holidays, in-service days and the February mid-term break.

4.Missed Lessons

Lessons missed due to illness, holidays or any other personal absence remain payable and cannot be refunded.

5.Pre-arranged Absence

Pupils may request to rearrange up to four lessons per academic year (maximum one per term), provided at least 24 hours' notice is given. Rearranged lessons are subject to tutor availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

6.Tutor Absence

If a lesson is cancelled by Music Collective Scotland due to tutor absence, it will be rearranged wherever possible. If this is not possible, the lesson fee will be refunded. 

7.Cancelling Lessons

A minimum of 4 weeks' written notice is required to cancel lessons. Notice should be sent to info@musiccollectivescotland.com. Lesson fees remain payable throughout the notice period, regardless of attendance.

8.Resources & Exam Fees

Parents and pupils are responsible for purchasing any required instruments, music books, accessories and examination entry fees.

9.Holiday Lessons

Ad hoc lessons may be available during school holidays by agreement with your tutor.

10.Withdrawal

Enrolment continues until written notice of withdrawal has been received. Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation and payments will continue until the notice period has ended.

11.Tutor Changes

Should a tutor become unavailable or leave Music Collective Scotland, lessons may be transferred to another suitably qualified tutor.

12.Additional Support Needs

Parents or carers must inform Music Collective Scotland of any additional support needs, medical conditions or learning needs which may affect participation.

13.Behaviour

Music Collective Scotland reserves the right to refuse or terminate tuition where a pupil's behaviour is consistently disruptive, unsafe or prevents effective teaching.

14. Arrival & Collection

Parents and carers remain responsible for the safe drop-off and collection of children before and after lessons. Music Collective Scotland cannot supervise pupils outside their scheduled lesson time.

Group Classes

Group classes are delivered over 40 teaching weeks each academic year. Fees are spread across 11 equal monthly subscription payments (August to June) and collected securely through ClassForKids.

3.Term Dates

Classes take place during our published term dates. Classes continue during public holidays, local holidays, in-service days and the February mid-term break.

Missed classes due to illness, holidays or any other personal absence remain payable and cannot be refunded or transferred.

5.Class Places
A class place is reserved through an active monthly subscription.

6.Cancelling a Class

A minimum of 4 weeks' written notice is required to cancel a class subscription. Notice should be sent to info@musiccollectivescotland.com. Subscription payments remain due throughout the notice period.

7.Class Cancellations
If a class is cancelled by Music Collective Scotland, it will be rearranged wherever possible. If this is not possible, an appropriate refund or account credit will be issued.

8.Additional Support Needs
Parents or carers must inform Music Collective Scotland of any additional support needs, medical conditions or learning needs which may affect participation.

General

Music Collective Scotland reserves the right to amend fees, term dates and these Terms & Conditions. Where changes are made, parents and carers will be given a minimum of 30 days' written notice wherever reasonably possible.
