The Directors

Music Collective Scotland is family run music school established in 2018. The school is headed by husband and wife musicians and educators, Nicole and Eoin Tonner. The couple trained and graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a Bachelor of Music performance degree . As their career progressed, they continued their training and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and are GTCS registered secondary music teachers.. The pair have had extensive experience as musicians and educators. Nicole currently holds the post of Principal Teacher of Performing and Expressive Arts within an Angus Secondary School and Eoin is a Brass Instructor  at The High School of Dundee. Their shared passion for quality music education led to creation of Music Collective Scotland and fulfilled their life long dream of running a music school.

The Journey

The journey started after the birth of their first child, Lucas. Knowing the educational benefits of music for babies and toddlers, Nicole designed and created baby and toddler music classes informed by principles of Kolday, Dalcrose and Orff methodologies. The quick success of these classes led to the natural growth of the school which included the design of primary school musicianship and instrumental classes. Eoin and Nicole then designed and co-created a variety of instrumental and class music programmes to cater for 0 -18. The popularity of tuition in the area has allowed MCS to grow to provide employment for 14 tutors and class leaders who help the pair deliver classes and lessons to over 350+ pupils per week.
