Recorder is an excellent starter instrument for young players. It is light, easy to play and affordable to buy which makes it a popular choice for pupils and parents. It allows pupils to develop key musical skills such as rhythm, reading notation, pitch and breathing whilst developing their fine motor skills and having fun. We teach this in small groups as well as individually and many go on to then take up brass or woodwind or another instrument.
We offer one to one tuition and small group tuition in flute, saxophone, clarinet, oboe and bassoon.
